About Me
Hi, I’m Jamie Terrell.
I’ve been fixing IT problems since before virtualization was cool—30+ years and counting. These days I’m an infrastructure engineer at Pediatrix Medical Group, where I keep Nutanix clusters, Citrix environments, and Azure workloads running for healthcare teams who can’t afford downtime.
I’m a Nutanix Technology Champion with certifications across Nutanix (NCP-MCI, NCP-MCA), Citrix (CCP-V, CC-VAD-CC), Microsoft Azure, and CompTIA Security+. Most of my career has been in healthcare IT, where “the system is down” means something different than it does in most industries.
Why this blog?
Over the years I’ve solved a lot of problems that weren’t well-documented anywhere: VMware-to-AHV migrations, Protection Domain-to-Policy conversions, Citrix upgrades that didn’t go as planned. The kind of stuff that’s hard to find in official docs because it only shows up when you’re knee-deep in a change window at 2 AM.
I write what I wish I could’ve Googled.
Based in Georgia. Opinions are my own.
